COVID Vaccine And Injectable Treatments

A very small number of patients have experienced some facial swelling when having a COVID-19 vaccine around the same time as an injectable treatment. This is nothing to worry about and such a reaction is not solely linked to the COVID vaccines, but to anything which provokes a response from the immune system.

Together with our COVID protocols, we have issued new precautions around undergoing an injectable treatment within a few weeks of having a vaccine. Although the risk of an inflammatory reaction is very small, we advise that patients do not undergo a procedure 2 weeks before/after having a vaccine.
