1. Stellar™ IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

How it works:
Stellar™ IPL uses high-intensity pulses of broad-spectrum light, filtered to target specific chromophores (colour-bearing structures). The main chromophores in the skin are melanin, haemoglobin and water which each absorb light at different wavelengths. During IPL treatments, the wavelength range (515–1200 nm) can be altered to target different depths. Tattoo ink or stubborn pigmentation rapidly absorbs the laser energy, creating a shockwave which breaks down the pigment into smaller fragments.
